The great thing about St. Mark’s is that it is a friendly and welcoming church
where we are all journeying together in faith.
St. Mark’s, like all Church of England churches, is self-financing. All costs,
including the Vicar’s salary, heating, lighting, insurance and general running
costs, must be found from collections from the local congregation and this is a
constant struggle.
If you live in Kempshott, St Mark’s is your Parish church. If you want to be
baptised, married or to hold a funeral, this is your church.
Please use your church to the full.
In good times, celebratory times, at Christmas and Easter, in times of trouble
and sadness, or when you just want to ‘pop in’, St. Mark’s is here for you!
We are self financing. We need your help to be sure we can continue to provide
support for the people of Kempshott. You can help by regular gifts, occasional
gifts, or by supporting one of our church events. These can be offered as ‘gift
aid’ if you are a regular taxpayer where the church can reclaim the tax from
the Treasury. £1 becomes £1.25. Click here
to download a St. Mark’s gift aid form; if you would like general information
on gift aid this can be found at
http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/charities/giving-to-charities-indiv.htm.
Some examples of how you can help are on the St. Mark’s gift aid link above. For
example you may wish to remember the passing of a family member or friend – an
offering every year at your chosen date could pay for the church flowers that
week and recognition in the weekly newsletter. Please call the church office in
confidence to discuss on 01256 840502 or drop in to the church office, open
1000-1200 every weekday.
And finally, if you think the church has helped you in your life, why not
remember St. Mark’s in your will? Further general details can be found at
